Prepare yourself for comedy in its newest, most revolutionary form. Jim Breuer has already established himself as a powerful comedian through his incredible stand-up performances, four years on SNL, and his numerous movie roles. But then, Jim dared to take his show to the next level with the introduction of the Lighten Up Comedy Tour!
Jim Breuer"s Lighten Up Comedy Tour was born on December 9, 2000 when Jim unleashed his Rock-n-Comedy assault on an unsuspecting, standing room only crowd at New York City"s Irving Plaza. An event of such epic proportions, that it will surely change the face of comedy as we know it. "You rock hard and lugh harder," Jim says. Willie"s Basement performs as Jim"s back up band to compliment each routine with the perfect musical background.
Routines such as "Baked at the Zoo" or "Coming Home at 4am" have already become cult faves and Breuer favorites such as "Party in the Stomach" and "Goatboy" have received a musical facelift. Classic Jim impressions such as Joe Pesci are nto forgotten, but make sure you check out Jim as Brian Johsnon of AC?DC and Willie"s Basement version of the Hokey Pokey.
A stand-up comedian since his college days on Long Island, New York, Breuer worked in comedy clubs around the country for several years before deciding to become a regular on the New York comedy club circuit. After being in New York for only seven months, he landed a gig on the nationally syndicated show Uptown Comedy Club, where he spent two seasons.
Breuer has been featured on many network and cable television showcases, such as CBS" Late Show with David Letterman, NBC"s Late Night with Conan O"Brien and Friday Night, and guest-hosted NBC"s Later and Comedy Central"s Premium Blend series. He also had his own half-hour show at MTV, entitled The Jim Breuer Show, and his own comedy special: Comedy Central"s Pulp Comics.
Breuer"s feature film career began to take off after leaving SNL. He starred in Universal Pictures" hit comedy Half-Baked and in Phoenix Pictures" Dick. He recently completed filming a role in Laurence Fishburne"s directorial debut, Once in the Life.
