Jeff Richards is an American actor and stand-up comedian. Richards has the distinction of being the only actor to be a cast member on both Saturday Night Live and its rival show on FOX, MADtv. Perhaps his most popular character, “Drunk Girl”, appeared on the Weekend Update segment of Saturday Night Live nine times.





Richards was born in Walnut Creek, California, where he lived until he graduated from Las Lomas High School in 1993. He hosted a morning radio show and created a public access television sketch comedy show in the San Francisco Bay Area. He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During college he began stand-up comedy while studying abroad in Italy. In his senior year at UNC, Richards joined the improvisational comedy team, CHiPs. In 1997 he settled in Los Angeles where he became a successful comedian in the competitive Hollywood environment.
